According to the start of This Project, there had been a faceplate, as well as duct-tape that once extended past the faceplate, leaving ugly marks on a wall.
What I had written before, was that I would touch-up the paint – i.e. paint over the duct-tape stains on the wall – before attaching any future faceplate.
Well, I had already applied one coat of interior latex, only to find that doing so left visible discoloration, due to duct-tape marks underneath.
And so logically, since the new faceplate has not yet been attached, I applied a second coat of the same interior latex today, to reveal fewer imperfections, that are to remain after I attach the new faceplate, at some unknown point in time in the future.
